Beef & Vegetable Stew with Dumplings
Dried carrot, Potato, Onion, Peas. parsley re-hydrated
Dried Beef soaked in water
1 p Onion Gravy Mix
Tea biscuit Mix

Slow boil vegetables, and beef. Add gravy mix.(As a normal stew)
Make biscuit mix for number of dumplings. Add to Stew cover and let cook until dumplings light & fluffy, be careful not to let stew burn


Quick Camp Dinner (Ideal for first day out)

¼ lb beef (hamburg or steak)
1 small potato
1 Carrot
1 small onion
1 Small piece of butter
1 piece of Aluminum foil doubled

Prepare at home
On piece of foil, doubled (close to one end) place meat. Slice potato, onion and carrot and spread over meat. Place butter on top of ingredients. Fold doubled foil over to form a pouch and fold edges over to seal package (must be airtight) and freeze.

Cook in hot coals for about 20 minutes, turn over after 10 minutes. Being careful not to puncture package. Package will puff up.
When ready, remove from coals and cut open BEWARE OF STEAM and eat from foil.


7 Step Jerky

Stir mixture (they say to marinade meat over night, but l have let it soak in the brine for a few minutes and then put it in the dryer).The above inertness can be added to for your own tastes.

Ground Venison Jerky

MIx spices with venison Roll meat between sheets of waxed paper to ½", thickness. Mix liquid smoke and water and brush on meat You can cut in strips now and place on dryer or leave in bigger pieces optional

Venison Salami

the rest I put in but is optional (liquid smoke hickory or mesquite, Tea spoon of brown sugar teriyaki sauce) like I said you can add to the basics what ever Strikes your fancy for spices.

Mix well and refrigerate for 24 hours remix and put back in for another 24 hours remix and do the same again. You can then roll out between waxed paper to ¼ thickness or what ever you want, cut into strips, roll by hand into peppers, roll by hand into little balls between the sizes of dear and moose droppings. Put on dryer. Dryers are different my old one took about 12 hours I guess after a few hours check. Any questions just ask ENJOY.
